Why the interesting name? Dirty South?

"Dirty South" is also the name of our Mixed Martial Arts Gym (MMA). Curtis picked this name. I went along with it because I wanted a name that would stand out and one that not everyone else has.

"Dirty South" is defined as:

n. Term of endearment for the area of the United States that includes much of the former Confederacy; includes southern Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, northern Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and eastern Texas.

What type of paranormal incidents does DSGH investigate?

We generally investigate incidents of hauntings, we have not yet ventured into the UFO possibilities or Cryptozology, although these things spike our interest as well.

What can be expected during a paranormal investigation?

Before we even begin an investigation, we first interview the residents, owners, occupants. We are continuously doing research on the site, the parties involved and any previous owners, tragedies or deaths. We want to have as much information as possible to back what evidence may be found at the location.

What type of entities are there?

There are several different types of entities that a person can come into contact with; such as: intelligent, residual, demonic, benign, orbs, vortexes, poltergeists, shadow people, etc.

What are the most common sitings of entities?

The most common that DSGH has come into contact with are shadow people, although it is very common for us to find orbs in a lot of our photos, DSGH does not, however use orbs as evidence of the paranormal.

What are the dangers of paranormal investigating?

The dangers go beyond coming into contact with a demonic or malevolent entity. We often do our investigations at night which makes it harder to see obstacles. We have done several investigations in the outdoors and at local cemeteries. Some of the dangers in the southwest are scorpions, snakes, mountain lions etc. We have to be on guard at all times and pay extremely close attention to our surroundings.

If I believe that I am experiencing something paranormal, at what time do I call someone in to investigate?

This varies from person to person. What are you comfortable with? Can you sleep at night? Is your normal life being affected from these experiences?

You have to ask yourself these questions first, and above all... if you are ever feeling threatened, you should call someone immediately.
